NOTE: Graduate Division offices will be closed from 3 p.m. November 25, 2009 through November 27, 2009. We will be open for business as usual on Monday, November 30, 2009.
The Graduate Admissions Office provides a wide range of services for prospective students, new students, faculty, and departments at Berkeley. Our office, which is responsible for evaluating the recommendations submitted by departments, processes more than 20,000 graduate applications per year.
Our services include:
- Advising applicants on Graduate Division's admission requirements, deadlines, costs and fees, campus resources, and other important topics to consider
- Providing publications for prospective students
- Handbooks and workshops for faculty and staff
- Developing Web materials for students, faculty, and staff
- Managing the online Application for Graduate Admission and Fellowships
- Responding to questions from students, faculty, and staff about applying for admission via the Web
