About Gerhard Casper

Gerhard Casper is the Peter and Helen Bing Professor in Undergraduate Education at Stanford University. He served as the 9th president of Stanford from 1992-2000. His concerns as President included resolution of the indirect cost dispute with the federal government, the restoration of the campus after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, and innovations in curriculum and programs.
