About David Lowenthal

Professor Lowenthal is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Geography at the University College London. His interests include studying people’s landscape preferences and perceptions, and the topic of the relationship between cultural heritage and history. He has also focused on George Perkins Marsh, a North American philologist and environmentalist who laid the foundations of the environmental conservation in America.
