National Research Council (NRC)
Assessment of Research Doctorate Programs
The National Research Council (NRC) survey is one of the most highly regarded standards for rating American graduate programs. The third NRC survey will take place this year, with survey results to be reported in 2008. Many UC Berkeley doctoral programs will be assessed and compared to peer institutions in this study.
Throughout the study, the Graduate Division will stay in touch with the designated contact for your program (the NRC Facilitator) to ensure that all requests for information can be filled in an expeditious and careful manner. Andrew J. Szeri, Associate Dean of the Graduate Division, is organizing the information collection and prepared this briefing on the NRC Assessment. If you have any questions or concerns about the study, please direct questions via e-mail to Dean Szeri at: gradnrc@berkeley.edu.
Your involvement in the NRC survey is crucial in helping Berkeley graduate programs maintain their world-class rankings.
